This policy explains how Brightwell Prep ("Brightwell Prep", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use brightwellprep.com and our online exam simulators. 1. Who we are

Brightwell Prep is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us for any privacy-related request at info@brightwellprep.com.

2. What data we collect

Email address — when you sign up to receive our emails or create an account to use an exam simulator.
Simulator activity — your practice answers, scores, and progress, so your results are saved and follow you across devices.
Technical data — like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect special categories of data, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

3. How and why we use your data

Under the GDPR we rely on the following legal bases:

To send you study tips, product updates, and launch announcements — based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
To provide the exam simulator and save your progress — to perform the service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b)).
To keep the site and simulators running, secure, and free from abuse — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We never sell or rent your personal data.

4. Cookies and local storage

The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our exam simulators use essential, functional storage only — to keep you signed in and save your progress. Without it, the simulator cannot remember your results.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contract and their own privacy terms:

Vercel — website and application hosting and content delivery.
Resend — email delivery for the messages we send you.
Systeme.io — legacy email list platform, being phased out during our migration to in-house list management.
Supabase — the database that stores exam-simulator accounts and progress.
Zoho Mail — handling the email you send to our address.

Links to Amazon product pages are governed by Amazon's own privacy policy once you leave our site.

6. International transfers

Some of these providers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep your data

Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
Simulator progress: for as long as your account is active, or until you ask us to delete it.
Server logs: kept for a short period by our hosting provider, then deleted or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
have inaccurate data corrected;
have your data erased (the "right to be forgotten");
restrict or object to how we process your data;
receive your data in a portable format;
withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out);
lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

9. Children

Our study guides and simulators are intended for adults preparing for professional certification exams. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
